New Employee orientation on all benefits

  • Explaining and delivering all forms necessary for enrollment
  • Follow up on receipt of forms
  • Deliver enrollment forms to all insurance carriers
  • Implement check list and sign off sheet acknowledging receipt by employee and date materials need to be returned to ensure timeliness of enrollment by carriers
  • Ensure that employee’s personal hire folder is complete including W-4 and I-9 forms
  • Notify payroll company once employee becomes eligible and the forms are completed of the necessary payroll deductions

Delivering of employee handbook

  • Explaining all earned time company procedures and eligibility for all benefits provided by the client
  • Provide input on updating employee manual

Ensuring Department of Labor mandates are followed

  • Summary of plan descriptions for all benefits falling under ERISA
  • Benefit summaries and packets
  • Certificates
  • Cobra initial notification paperwork

Medicare Part D

  • Notification to CMS during group’s annual open enrollment to ensure credible or non-credible coverage of health insurance is communicated per CMS
  • Notifications to all employees advising on credible/non-credible status during Medicare Part D open enrollment period or anytime the health insurance is modified

Supervisor Training

  • Educate management on Human Resource related issues to increase awareness and sensitivity in employee dealings
  • Provide handouts, case studies, and group discussions on implementing training information

Human Resource/Benefits questions

  • Available to employees to answer any questions by phone or email on agreed days
  • Coordinate education by broker/carrier and client on all benefits during open enrollment to ensure employees are educated on changes or newly implemented benefits

Departure of employees

  • All COBRA notifications to terminated employee and qualified dependents
  • Collection and follow up on all COBRA notifications to ensure that all federal mandates are followed

Miscellaneous as agreed upon by client and Human Resource Benefits Advisor

  • Human Resource questions outside of benefits and pertaining to the interpretation of the employee handbook, research and suggestions will be provided by the consultant but the Administrator has final authority in these areas
  • Suggestions during annual enrollment of benefits to ensure best plan is chosen for employer and employees
  • Analyzing  and help implementing new benefits that add to the overall employee benefit package allowing for the client to maintain current employees and stand out to new candidates
